Islamists have threatened a Christian Bishop in the Philippines… (H/T: UP Pompeii)
Philippine bishop reports receiving threat to convert to Islam
MANILA, Philippines (CNS) — A bishop in the southern Philippines reported receiving a letter threatening him with harm if he does not convert to Islam or pay “Islamic taxes.”
Such brazenness in a country where over 86% of the population is Christian, 9% is Muslim and the remaining 5% is divided among various groups such as: Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, animists and non-believers.
Even if those who sent these letters are no more than common criminals who use religion as a mere tool, the fact that they chose to represent themselves as Muslims is in itself significant. But Muslim brazenness does not stop there, unfortunately, this one is far from an isolated case! Remember the kidnapped and murdered Chaldean archbishop of Mosul, Mgr Faraj Rahho? What about the plight of Assyrian Christians in Iraq? What about the Sabian Mandaeans? Or the plight of Christians girls kidnapped in Nigeria by practitioners of the Religion of Peace? What about the treatment of Christian Copts in Egypt? Ot the threats against Western politicians like Geert Wilders or Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi? The list, gentle reader, goes on and on ad nauseum…

Yes, gentle reader, believe it or not the Joo has no horns, no tail. We are as human as the rest of you, we bleed, we cry, we laugh, we suffer, we sing and we too can have our hearts shuttered… But… if you look at Jewish history… we were attacked by the greatest empires, they all even held us under their individual yoke for a while and then… they disappeared! Yet… while we Jooz were decimated by the millions, while the hatred of the world at our stubbornness never abated we cried, we prayed, we hoped and died with the word “Jerusalem” on our lips! And so in 1948 of the Current Era - symbolically, Abraham was born in 1948 in the Hebrew calendar - we once again got our own independent Jerusalem.
We will survive the MSM and their hypocrisy, even though the UN’s Human Rights Council will never bring itself to discuss the Jews’ cause. We will survive the IslamoFascists hatred as they will eventually burn up in the pyre of their own poison. Yes, gentle reader, if you prick us we do bleed, if you poison us we do die… but, like the mythical phoenix, we always rise from our ashes and accomplish the impossible! Look at Israel today, a prosperous garden in the desert, a center of science and technology where there was only sand and poverty!!!

Salafi Jihadists are becoming increasingly active in ‘Palestine.’ They are garnering more support than ever before, and they are partially responsible for the increasing radicalization of Palestinian Arabs. If you think Fatah and especially Hamas are evil and extreme, just take the following comparison made by Salafi Jihadists into consideration: “compared to us, Hamas is Islamism Lite.” (more…)

Gazan Arabs Seek Compensation for Dismissal From Gush Katif Jobs
(IsraelNN.com) Gazan Arabs who were employed by Israeli farmers in Gush Katif until the 2005 eviction of Jews from the region are seeking ways to sue their former employers for “wrongful dismissal” and other employee benefits.

Israel’s cabinet approved ‘a rare prisoner swap with the Shiite militia Hezbollah, agreeing to free a convicted murderer and others in exchange for two Israeli soldiers who are believed to be dead.’ Yes, you read that correctly; Israel is willing to give up terrorists and will, in exchange, receive the bodies of two murdered soldiers. In what will undoubtedly soon be called one of Israel’s biggest mistakes in the last five years, the news has hit the wires that Israel has agreed to a truce with Hamas in Gaza. The deal has been brokered by Egypt, and it will start this Thursday. (more…)
Well, well. The one day Barack Obama gives a speech about Israel, in which he says that Jerusalem should remain undivided, the next day he “clarifies” those comments by explaining that he did not truly mean to say undivided as such. (more…)

US President George W. Bush arrived in Israel earlier today, to kick off his tour through the Middle East. He will stay in this part of the world for five days, and he’ll visit three countries. His visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of the state of Israel; a major issue on his agenda is, of course, the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians (and the rest of the Arab world). (more…)
I agree with America’s conservative bloggers on their analysis of this interview with Barack Obama on Israel. There is nothing in his words that gives me the impression that he’s strongly pro-Israel, and there’s nothing in his words that suggests to me that he’s disgusted by Hamas’ endorsement of him. His adviser said the camp was ‘flattered’ that Hamas compares Obama to John F. Kennedy, Obama lets that compliment stand. Quite sad. (more…)

Nice: a couple of years ago Hizbullah and Israel went to war with each other. The result was that the Shi’ite terrorist organization was severely weakened and had lost many of its fighters. Aside from that, though, the organization had also proved that it could fight back against Israel and that Olmer is a weak leader; he could’ve crushed Hizbullah, but instead he decided to give in to international pressure, and let Hizbullah off the hook. Hizbullah suffered, but it also learned an important lesson; next time, it would be even stronger, and better prepared. (more…)

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations struck back hard at former US President Jimmy Carter, for meeting with leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas recently. In a luncheon brieving for reporters, sponsored by The Israel Project, Ambassador Dan Gillerman said that Carter “went to the region with soiled hands and came back with bloody hands after shaking the hand of Khaled Mashaal, the leader of Hamas.” (more…)
Fox News reports that former US President Jimmy “Israel is an Apartheid state” Carter may meet with the leadership of terrorist organization Hamas. Carter is reportedly planning to meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group, on April 18 of this year, during a trip to Syria. (more…)

O no, I’m pretty sure that Palestinians don’t hate Jews but Zionists. Look, for instance, at this: “Jews are a people who cannot be trusted,” Imam Yousif al-Zahar of Hamas told the faithful. “They have been traitors to all agreements — go back to history. Their fate is their vanishing. Look what they are doing to us.” (more…)

In what’s quite a surprising development, the New York Times published the findings of a poll that show that the majority of Palestinians “favor violence over peace talks.” And not just “a majority,” but an “overwhelming majority” at that. 86% of Palestinians support the attack on a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem last week that killed eight innocent young Jewish men. Since the government does nothing to prevent him and his fellow citizens against rockets fired from Palestine, in his opinion at least, a resident of the Israeli city of Ashkelon has decided to do fight against Hamas himself. He developed a missile and wanted to fire it at his Palestinian enemies. At the very last moment, however, the police intervened: they seized the missile and told the gathered crowd to go home. It’s, obviously, not right… but I can’t help but understand this man.

My, my. It seems that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, or Abu Mazen, finally realized that he’s dependent on the US and Israel. If he refuses to talk to them, it’s likely that he’ll lose power quickly. So, what does Abbas do? He plays the victim for a couple of days, cries foul, compares Israel acting in self-defense to the holocaust (this man knows no shame), hoping that the world will feel sorry for him, and that Israel will do some concessions it doesn’t want to do; after which he says that he wants to talk… once again. It seems that Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian people, has angered, or at least frustrated, Condi Rice and George W. Bush. The reason for the anger is that the Fatah leader “refused Tuesday to publicly commit to restarting suspended talks with Israel” even though Israel has withdrawn from Gaza. (more…)

Shorter Reuters: those brave and heroic Hamas terrorists. It’s a strange article. It seems to be quite positive about those Jew-hating, intolerant and extremists Hamas terrorists. The title alone gives one the impression that this isn’t a journalistic article, but a piece of pro-Hamas propaganda. “Inspired by God, Hamas Fighters Battle On.” (more…)

After severe domestic pressure, Palestinian President (mostly in name only) Mahmoud Abbas has suspended the peace talks with Israel. The reason: after being attacked for years by rockets fired from Gaza, Israel has had enough and decided to fight back. Fighting back is, of course, unacceptable according to our reasonable Palestinian friends. (more…)
