Islamists have threatened a Christian Bishop in the Philippines… (H/T: UP Pompeii)
Philippine bishop reports receiving threat to convert to Islam
MANILA, Philippines (CNS) — A bishop in the southern Philippines reported receiving a letter threatening him with harm if he does not convert to Islam or pay “Islamic taxes.”
Such brazenness in a country where over 86% of the population is Christian, 9% is Muslim and the remaining 5% is divided among various groups such as: Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, animists and non-believers.
Even if those who sent these letters are no more than common criminals who use religion as a mere tool, the fact that they chose to represent themselves as Muslims is in itself significant. But Muslim brazenness does not stop there, unfortunately, this one is far from an isolated case! Remember the kidnapped and murdered Chaldean archbishop of Mosul, Mgr Faraj Rahho? What about the plight of Assyrian Christians in Iraq? What about the Sabian Mandaeans? Or the plight of Christians girls kidnapped in Nigeria by practitioners of the Religion of Peace? What about the treatment of Christian Copts in Egypt? Ot the threats against Western politicians like Geert Wilders or Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi? The list, gentle reader, goes on and on ad nauseum…

Although I have no problem whatsoever with the fact that Mr Livingstone will stop being the mayor of London, I am not happy at all. First of all, I have no idea who that Boris guy really is, I mainly know him as some sort of clown ( his hair reminds me somehow of a Dutch clown/parliamentarian/cineast ). What really bothers me, though, is the fact that ‘Red Ken’ now will have a lot of spare time, and many retired politicians and other public figures who have both an obsession with Israel ( or Jews ) and too much time on their hands have turned their obsession into an annoying hobby. Anyway, congratulations Mr Johnson, and good luck to all Londoners with their new mayor.

Foreign readers will most likely not believe the following, but the Dutch Parliament debated about (link in Dutch) Geert Wilders movie “Fitna” yesterday. The debate was one happy affair: it was Wilders against the rest. Every single other party tried to put as much distance between itself and Wilders’ party the PVV, and the Dutch Cabinet and Wilders clashed over what had and had not happened. (more…)
The Jawa Report is linking to a petition aiming to organize a boycott of Dutch goods and services if Wilders is punished or prosecuted over the Fitna affair.
Like Wilders’ film or not, it’s a no-brainer that making the video and distributing it are well within the realm of free, protected speech. For that much Wilders deserves to be supported in his struggle against the Dutch government that would muzzle him if it could.
As for some of his other statements, I’d remind you that the right to speak is more important than liking what you hear.
The German newspaper the Spiegel published a fairly good article about the latest controversy surrounding Dutch MP Geert Wilders. As you all will know by now, Wilders has produced an anti-Islam movie called “Fitna.” Shortly after word came out that he would make such a movie, all hell broke loose. People - even governments and government officials - asked or demanded Wilders not to go ahead with the plan. Fundamentalist Muslims in foreign countries found out about the plan, and started threatening the Dutch government and people. But Wilders refused to bow to the pressure. (more…)
Geert Wilders - Dutch member of parliament - has finished his anti-Islam movie. He’s currently negotiating with Dutch networks; at this moment one gets the impression that most networks don’t want to broadcast the movie which became controversial before it was even made. Therefore, Wilders though; if left with no other option, I’ll put “Fitna” on the Internet. In order to do so, he has created a website: Fitnathemovie.com. (more…)

Frankly, right-wing politician Geert Wilders convicts himself by saying that he doesn’t “hate Muslims” but “Islam.” Whoever calls Wilders “excellent” shows that he or she, in this case, is a prejudiced, hateful human being who should never be in a position of power in any (Western) country. (more…)
Red alert! Battle stations! All civilians must evacuate to the bunkers! Scramble the fighter jets! Move, move, MOVE!! Here it comes…incomiiiiiing….here comes……….!!!!!
A movie.
No, seriously, a movie.
In case you haven’t been reading much here or elsewhere, a far-right member of parliament in the Netherlands is about to release a movie highly critical of Islam. Instantly warnings (also known as threats) came in from different corners of the Islamic world.

A recently conducted poll shows that 66% of Dutch want to see Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam movie. A solid majority also wants the film to be broadcasted. This even though 40% of Dutch people are afraid for the consequences of this already controversial movie. (more…)
My article for Pajamas Media, about Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam movie, is up. Please take the time to read it. I think that this is a very serious issue and that, if we give in now, we’ll have to give in always. I’m no fan of Wilders, but he should have the right to publish his movie, and to criticize Islam. Those who threaten us, those who riot, have to be taught a lesson and that’s that we’re not willing to give up our freedoms, just so they don’t have to feel ‘insulted.’ (more…)

Anti-Muslim groups in Europe, and especially in the Netherlands, are becoming increasingly extreme. They’re not conservative: they’re fascist. (more…)
