If we can’t get the candidate himself, we’ll ask a former debater and current supporter.
On PoliGazette next Friday at 1pm Central time, Michael will ask his questions and your questions about why anyone would support Obama. And Jason will answer those questions.

Earlier today I listened to PoliGazette co-blogger Rick Moran’s Blog Talk Radio Show, logically called “The Rick Moran Show,” and it truly was a great show (I know that he’s calling in through Skype, like me, but he doesn’t seem to have any quality problems).
Rick’s guests were Rich Baehr, political correspondent of the American Thinker, and Tom Lifson, Editor-in-Chief of the same website, who brought quite some knowledge about politics and journalism to the table. As said, it was an interesting show, you can listen to it below the fold. Some quotes and thoughts of my own: (more…)
On today’s PoliGazette talk radio show, I got into a brief debate with Pamela Leavey from Democratic Daily about Democrats’ proposals for universal health care. Pamela argued that universal health coverage would involve costs that are a relatively easy load on individuals and would substantially reduce the current escalation in overall health care costs. During the show and the after-show, I pointed out that universal health care proposals do not take into account may of their secondary costs, including the necessity of rationing and the loss of incentives for investment in research and development upon which all universal health care systems — including those in Canada and Europe beloved by many liberals — ultimately rely.
A column in today’s Wall Street Journal adds some additional points. (more…)

UPDATE: below (the fold) follows the podcast.
Be sure to listen to the first show of PoliGazette Radio on Blog Talk Radio. You can visit our Blog Talk Radio page by clicking here. The show starts at 7PM Dutch time which is 1PM ET. From now onwards I plan to do a show every Friday. I’ll often ask other bloggers to join me and you all on the radio show to talk about the issues of the day and week. This week, Rick Moran of Right Wing Nut House has agreed to be my guest.
We’ll talk about the direction the GOP has taken during the last couple of years, Fred Thompson(’s chances) and of course the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the reactions of the different candidates to her sudden death. (more…)

Yesterday I created a Blog Talk Radio show of my own. From now on, I intend to do one show every week (Friday’s). I’ve already scheduled one for tomorrow, at 1PM ET, but that one may have to be rescheduled, because the folks over at BTR let me know that it might be handy to run a test show first. Whatever the case, I’ll inform you all about it.
The radio show will be used, every Friday, to summarize what happened that week, and to look to what’s likely to happen the following week. Of course I’ll also invite guests to talk about politics with me. You can listen to our BTR show live (I’ll announce it every Friday, just so you won’t forget) but also in archive / whenever is convenient to you. (more…)
