Mark Foley’s Replacement Caught in… Sex Scandal

October 14th, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

In what can easily be called the most ironic news of the day, it seems that the man who replaced disgraced Republican Congressman Mark Foley has been caught up in a sex scandal of his own. Back in 2006, Tim Mahoney (Democrat), ran against Foley, running on a family values platform.

It now turns out, however, that Mahoney had an affair, and that he bribed the woman he had an affair with, Patricia Allen, and offered her a job.

The job would earn her $50,000, Allen already received $121,000.

As a ’shut up’ bonus you could say.

Mahoney denied the accusations, but there is one major problem. We’ve got a tape.

That does not exactly sound like a man who kept his zipper shut, no does it?

Some advise to Mahoney: when you run on a family values platform, keep those pants on.
