Iranian Christian To Be Hanged for Apostasy

Although Western media and the United Nations have spent no time to it, the Iranian Parliament voted overwhelmingly for a law recently that would punish apostates, Muslims who change their religion, punishable by death. For some mysterious reason, the same media and UN find it of immense importance to talk about every negative development taking place in the West and especially Israel, but consider it of no importance what goes on in countries run by Muslim extremists, such as Iran.

It seems that the new law may make its first victim rather soon. Ramtin Soodmand was arrested by Iranian police recently. His crime? Being a Christian.

The interesting thing about the case is that he is not an apostate. He was born and raised a Christian. His father, Hossein Soodmand, converted to Christianity at the age of 13, in 1960. He raised his children as Christians - hence, they were never Muslim, thus they cannot be apostates.

Details do not seem to matter much to Iranian authorities, however, who are bent on convicting this man for his ‘crime.’

Although that is obviously very sad, the story becomes even sadder once one realizes that Ramtin’s father was also killed by religious authorities, for the same reason. He was told that if he would renounce his adopted religion he would live. Being a convinced Christian, however, Hossein declined, and was hanged.

The British newspaper the Telegraph has an interesting article up about this case. It seems that Hossein’s daughter, and Ramtin’s sister, lives in London. She is married to another Iranian Christian. She told her family’s story to the Telegraph.

Click on the link. It’s a sad, but fascinating read.*

    Michael,

As frightening as it may seem, that’s the reality with Islam.
I’ve been there and so you will with the time…

Don’t take my word for it, after you read the Quran, you have to read the Hadith to understand it all…

    Have a look at:

and follow the links related to the Hadith.
