The Racism of the Left

I agree with Jon Henke: I think that quite some on the left who cry ‘racism!’ all the time are, in fact, racists themselves. It is the only logical conclusion possible considering their obsession with ‘dog whistles’ and so on.

I think that they are racist, and that they feel their racism at the moment someone makes a comment about Obama that could be interpreted by people like them - racists - as justification for not voting for a man because of the color of his skin.

The way I see it, the people who believe that all criticisms are veiled racist ones are actually bigoted against the low information conservative voters. They presume that there are these hordes of ignorant people out there who vote based on ‘dog whistles’ (um, doesn’t that pretty much imply that these people have the intellect of a dog?)

They ignore the fact too, that even if some people respond based on race and such, it is at least partly because they resent racial politics; they fear not the fact of a black president, but the very phenomenon that we now see in action where that president (or in current case, potential president) is put above all criticism. You only have to look at this to see how that plays out- one Democrat called it a lynching when Franklin Raines was being called out by the regulator for cooking the books at Fannie Mae.

We’ve seen the results of people being afraid of being accused of racism when they attempted to point out VERY legitimate problems with the implementation of CRA and the management of Fannie Mae. How can there possibly be oversight of an Obama presidency when the media is already engaging in the race card game to protect him?
