Save the Environment: Let Planes Crash
Global warming hypers are, it is often said, more than willing to destroy entire economies in order to do what they consider necessary to prevent the earth from heating up, regardless of what science tells us about the effectiveness of the measures they would like to take.
Now it seems they are also more than willing to let planes crash in order to achieve their aims (which cannot be achieved in any case).
Air accident investigators believe that ice, created when the BA 777 flew across Siberia could have been influential in the plane’s loss of power causing it to crash land at Heathrow in January.
David Reynolds, flight safety officer at the pilots’ union Balpa, has called on regulators to “revisit” the requirements for fuel systems which support low-emissions engines after it was disclosed that a crash landing at Heathrow earlier this year was caused by ice freezing up supply lines to the plane’s engines.
“These rules need to be looked at again. Fuel flow is an import factor in the safe running of an aircraft engine,” he said.
“With reduced burn, that means that less fuel is circulating, which makes it easier for water to separate and turn into ice.”
In short, it could very well be that planes will crash due to the new rules for fuel. These rules are the result of active lobbying and exaggerations on the part of global warming hypers. Their panicking may very well cause people to die.
That is putting things rather bluntly, I know, but it is also the truth. Perhaps bluntness will cause the hypers to come back to earth and start behaving normal. If it does not, well, then those who are not quite willing to go alone with the hype should call call the hypers out on their idiocy and protect citizens from them.

Or you could, oh I don’t know. Put some more insulation on the fuel lines?
"They are likely to include demanding stricter tests on engines to ensure that they can cope with a build up of ice and sudden release into the fuel system."
Even the article you link to suggests that safety and fuel efficiency are compatible.
The truth is that environmental activists DON’T want planes to crash, so no, you aren’t just speaking the truth.
Is the sierra club up in arms about this idea to revisit the problem? Is anyone? You have made a pretty good straw environmentalist, but I’d like to see some actual flesh and blood. Even if you find one nutjob painting anyone who supports fuel efficiency standards with that brush is dishonest.
