‘Peace’ Activists Reach Gaza Shore

August 24th, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

Two boats carrying 44 ‘Free Gaza’ ‘peace’ activists reached the shore of Hamas controlled Gaza Saturday.

The activists are from 17 countries and consider themselves activists for peace. They consider the Israeli blockade of Gaza to be illegal and inhumane.

Israel, on the other hand, argues it has to block Gaza from getting weapons and money - and other goods - because Hamas and its supporters will use whatever they can get their hands on against the Jewish nation-state. Additionally, it argues, Hamas has to suffer; it has to recognize Israel’s right to exist and stop encouraging terrorists to attack Israeli civilians.

The ‘peace’ activists consider Israel’s reaction criminal. They forget, it seems, that Israel allows food and humanitarian aid to come into Gaza. Additionally, little to no attention is paid to Hamas’ hateful, anti-Semitic ideology. For some reason, these ‘peace’ activists ignore the brutal crimes and horrendous ideology propagated by the Palestinian terrorist organization.

Hamas, meanwhile, is more than thrilled with the ‘peace’ activists’ trip.

“The arrival of the two ships after this adventure represents a big breakthrough in the wall of the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza,” said Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri as he watched the ships approach the coast.

Rami Abbo, a spokesman for the Palestinian Anti-Siege Committee, a group with ties to Hamas, called the ships’ arrival “a victory for the will of the Palestinian people.”

In other words, the ‘peace’ activists are more than willing to function as propaganda toys for Hamas, an organization that despises peace.

One wonders what happened to the real peace activists that were active decades ago.

Interesting fact; one of the activists on board is Tony Blair’s sister-in-law.

To get an idea about the peace-mindedness of these activists have a look at their website ( Google Free Gaza ). Some of the ‘passengers’ have very interesting ( some might say troubling ) biographies. Take for example Yvonne Ridley, simply Google her name and you will find find some very telling quotes by that lady. I won’t say that all friends of Israel are real friends and totally kosher, but I am really glad that people like YR are not among my ( people’s ) friends.

The ‘peace’ activists consider Israel’s reaction criminal. that Israel allows food and humanitarian aid to come into Gaza, which is their absolute responsibility under the international humanitarian law whether the occupied country offers armed resistance to occupation or not. Additionally, little to no attention is paid to Israel’s  hateful, rasist ideology that allows them to colonise other people’s land by brute force. For some reason, these ‘peace’ activists ignore the brutal crimes and horrendous ideology propagated by the Palestinian terrorist organization, by looking at the sheer volume of human rights abuses in Occupied Palestinian Territories,  the war crimes of indiscriminate shelling of urban areas by Israeli forces, the racist thug settlers in Hebron and their children trained and indoctrinated in hate of Arabs. They look beyond all this and speak of Freedom and right to self determination for human beings.

Israel refuses to admit the "Nakba" against Palestinians-which continues via Settlements to this day. Small wonder groups like Hamas are anti-Israel!
