Clinton Backers Split Over Biden
Supporters of Hillary Clinton are split over Barack Obama’s decision to ask Joe Biden to become his running mate (which the latter accepted, it was announced earlier). Some consider Biden a good choice - experienced, good knowledge about foreign policy issues, quite a good relationship with Democratic activists, being able to appeal to centrists and independents nonetheless - while others believe Obama’s decision is an insult to Clinton.
Susan Castner, a Clinton delegate from Portland, Ore., said she sees some of Clinton’s qualities in Biden. She likes his experience, especially on foreign policy. “It really kind of humanizes Barack Obama,” Castner said. “He has this air of perfection, and Joe Biden is more down to earth.”
“I love his passion,” Castner said of Biden. “I like him a lot.”
Sadly, not all of Clinton’s supporters are so positive about Biden.
“It’s a total diss to Sen. Clinton, in my opinion,” said Diane Mantouvalos, co-founder of the Just Say No Deal Coalition. “It just speaks volumes about how Barack Obama doesn’t stand for anything.”
“It was a desperate move,” Mantouvalos said.
On the other hand, most do acknowledge that Clinton did not aggressively pursue the VP sport. She gave people the impression she would accept it, but she did little to nothing to make it happen. As such, most seem to agree, choosing someone else was not a complete surprise.

As their name indicates the "Just say no deal" PUMA’S will automatically be unhappy with anything Obama does. Oh a few of them would be mildly mollified if Clinton were picked for VP, but most of them aren’t about supporting Clinton, they’re about hating Obama. They have ignored every plea from Clinton to stand down, to unify, and have played up McCains qualities while attacking Obama on every sleazy and uncredible front they can think of (they’re actually sueing Obama and the DNC for a claim that Obama’s birth certificate is false). They have yet to prove they are very representative of a wider movement, despite their wildly hyped media attention.
So I think calling them "Clinton supporters" is inaccurate, they are in fact "Obama haters".
