Bolivarian Politics, the Olympics and Bolivarian Education Heroes

August 22nd, 2008 By: Chaim | Tags:

History gets rewritten over and over these days. Many attempted rewrites and their “proofs” are sometimes laughable, most often tragic. In all cases they are despicable lies. Occasionally they are the result of woeful misinformation (read: miseducation). Bolivarian politics, like Bolivarian econmics, lead to educational bankruptcy.

[...]

Venezuelan Bonilla-Molina - a leading proponent of Bolivarian educational reforms interviewed one of Chavez political heroes, Bill Ayers. Where Hugo Chávez “Bolivarian Revolution” is heading is unfortunate, it is obvious that Simón Bolívar - the great Libertador of Latin America - must repulsed at the misuse of his name and turning in his grave. Unfortunately, for us in the USA, one of Professor Ayers indoctrinates is currently running for President. Think about it, gentle reader… think about it!

Chaim, if you’re going to accuse Obama of being an Ayers "indoctrinate" it would REALLY help your case if you had any evidence to that effect, no? After all you are basically accusing Obama of approving of terrorism. It’s a VERY serious charge, not to be undertaken lightly. I assume you have documents linking the two men throughout the years? I assume also that there are recorded statements where Obama names Ayers as one of his mentors? Where he agrees with his causes? Something? Anything?

A $200 contribution and sitting together on an anti-poverty board, of all things, is evidence of nothing. If that’s all it takes to convict someone of sharing ideas, then I am to assume that you believe that the Bush family shares Saudi Arabia’s view of the world (including the views towards women) as the Bush family is so close to the Saudis.

If you want evidence that the Ayers thing is to tenous to be realistic, look no further than the fact that it isn’t being used by the Republicans. Only the lunatic Larry Johnson wing is talking about it.

The Repubs are also not talking about the various communists that Obama speaks of as mentors in his own biography, what does that prove?

The fact remains that the Annenberg Foundation poured a $160 million dollars into a project these two were involved in together and it was a tremendous flop. The fact remains that Professor Ayers, is more than just "a guy in the neighborhood" to Obama. At first, he claimed to barely know him, then he acknowledged they’d worked together. Why not be courageous and say immediately that he knew him well? That would have difused the situation completely and it would have been forgotten. So far the harder Obama denies something, the further he has to backpedal.

Is there a hidden skeleton here as well? Every strong denial unearths something else about Obama every time!

Here’s some food for thought, Claudia:

As for Obama’s education track record in Chicago, please take a few minutes to peruse this:

Would he have any designs on our educational system, similar to those Chavez in Venezuela is instituting? I can not swear to it, but:

Seems like some pretty good ‘ammo’ in my opinion.

If merely working with someone is evidence of being "indoctrinated" by them, then I must be a communist by now, after all my time already in academia working alongside some pretty radical leftists.  :)

Also, if professors have a Sengali-like power to indoctrinate those around them, why can’t I get my students to do anything I say? :)

Claudia’s right.  What is needed to make the Ayers thing stick is evidence that they actually share a radical ideology, not just that they were colleagues or friends.  People have lots of colleagues and friends that they disagree with ideologically.  The only thing that could make this charge stick for those not already strongly anti-Obama would be evidence of Obama himself holding a radical ideology.  Good luck with that.
