America: Jon Stewart Deserves to Earn More than Colbert

August 21st, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

America has spoken; Comedy Channel host Jon Stewart deserves to earn more than his rival Stephen Colbert (pronounced as Colbér in order to make ‘the people’ humble of their own peasant origins).

Participants in the “Getting Paid In America” survey are asked, “Which of Comedy Central’s late-night talk show hosts deserve a higher salary?” Current results show Stewart with a commanding lead of 69% to 31% for Colbert.
One cannot help but suspect that one of the reasons Stewart is leading is his surname; he pronounces it like a real American should. Colbert, on the other hand, likes to show his French roots off. Everybody knows Americans hate the French. From a salary-perspective, then, Colbert proves himself to be quite stupid by being arrogant.

Additionally, Jon is a Jew. We all know Jews like money more than anything else. Number two, for Jews, are fellow Jews. Combine the two and it quickly becomes clear why Jon is destroying Colbert.

But Colbert fans - probably Americans who have French blood, God forbid - can still set the record straight; voting continues until 5 September at 5 PM E.T.

fire both of them would be fine for me. Stewart’s humor isn’t particularly intelligent, and Colbert never could get to the status of any Conservative talk show host.

Burt congratulations! You’ve won the honor of being the very FIRST commenter to not understand the concept of satire.

Your grand prize is to have your comment displayed for all to see (as it adds to the comedy) when it would usually be erased according to comments policy.
