Must be a Spy, He’s a Jew!

August 5th, 2008 By: Chaim | Tags:

Are antisemitic attitudes ingrained in higher places in the US? Is a Jew automatically a spy for Israel, because he is a Jew? Some governmental institutions act as if such is, indeed, the case.

…the Pentagon report, which was released three weeks ago, said “We believe that Mr. Tenenbaum was subjected to unusual and unwelcome scrutiny because of his faith and ethnic background, a practice that would undoubtedly fit a definition of discrimination.” Hmmnnnn… A certain Hesham Islam rose to a high enough rank in the Pentagon, that he constantly invited Muslim Brotherhood affiliated organizations - in direct violation of the US Constitution - to visit  and meet with the Pentagon’s brass, he was instrumental in the firing of Steven Coughlin (not a Jew! Just because Major Coughlin dared do the job he was payed to do!) In spite of the fact that Commander Hesham Islam’s official bio gives rise to more questions than it answers, no one at the Pentagon ever gave the slightest thought to investigating him. Let’s face it, he wasn’t Jewish!!!

Therefore every Jew is a Spy, by definition. After all The Protocols of Elders of Zion already spelled out their infamy. Long live the KKK, the American Nazi Party, and every patriotic Jew hating organization in this here country!

Repeating the old canards ad nauseum will not change facts, bigot!

While I will not deny that anti-semitic attitudes may have caused problems to this man, I do dispute the insinuation that being Jewish in the US exposes you to more problems than being Muslim. Mostly because it is a manifestly absurd idea. How likely is your average Rosenberg to be singled out for "special attention" at the airport? More likely than your average "Ahmed"? Almost certainly no. How many dirty looks will wearing a kippah get you at an airport as compared to a hijab?

Anti-semitism is real and disgusting, to be sure, but to imply that Islamophobia is lesser in the US ignores the fact that an ample portion of the US, including a sizable number of their politicians (BTW how many Jews in congress and how many Muslims?) basically equate Islam and terrorism as if they were synonims.

    Claudia,

My husband is a very Arab looking gent. I can tell you a few stories his appearance brought on, but this not the place. I’ll probably start my own blog about it. The fact remains that …the Pentagon report, which was released three weeks ago, said “We believe that Mr. Tenenbaum was subjected to unusual and unwelcome scrutiny because of his faith and ethnic background, a practice that would undoubtedly fit a definition of discrimination.” Mr Tenenbaum was singled out for no other reason than being a Jew!

Chaim’s post does not equate antisemitism with islamophobia or any other phobia, it does show a very disgusting double standard vis-a-vis the Jews. The simple facts, however, are that there are more antisemitic acts than islamophobic acts, you only need to check FBI statistics.

I grew up in the South, my father was a Klansman who absolutely despised blacks and Jews. Never met a Jew nor an Arab until I went to college.

I married an Egyptian and converted. We are not particularly religious, my husband teaches at a local college and we are next door neighbours of Chaim, in a mixed mostly Jewish/Arab neighborhood, here in Brooklyn. We often take our morning coffe with him. I know all about mistrust of Muslims and hatred of Jews.

    Gary,

You also forgot to mention that President Rooseveldt came from Jews, otherwise he would have allowed Hitler to finish the whole lot, heck it was those damn Jews who dragged us into WWII!

Personally, I don’t have to brand you antisemite, your own words do.

a)Lawrence A. Franklin IS NOT A JEW. Do your research!

The case has been delayed not by any judge bucking this case, (they legally can’t, do your research!) but by government appeals to change the rules. Do your research!

If you really, truly are not an antisemite (I’ll confess, I’m being sarcastic) if you are just ignorant of the facts or just like to rewrite them to suit you and friends better… How much are you getting paid by your employers, to rewrite truth Gary?

Gary has been banned.  There is no need to reply to his comments.  We do not publish antisemitism on this site.  They have their own sites at which they can freely exercise their Constitutional rights.  We do not choose to assist them.

Yesterday I saw a man with a red hat eating a hot dog. Of course, that means all men who wear red hats are going to love hot dogs and that is simple logic.
A Jew was caught as a spy. Of course that means all Jews are spies. A Muslim man killed his own daughter. Of course that means all Muslims will kill their daughters.

Hey Brandi, my grandmother is a Jewish woman. You are so yesterday.
It probably took you months to figure out those new sentences.
Guess what genius? Hitler killed tens of thousands of our good ole boys. I care about our soldiers and our country girl and I hate Hitler even if he never killed one Jew.

    Magdalene,

I read, reread and tripled read my comments, I fail to see any place where I mentioned Hitler or his minions. Obviously I’m not as big a genius as you give me credit for, but thank you for the compliment. Therefore I feel obligated to respectfully ask you to please elaborate as to the meaning and relevance of your comment.

    Could you? Would you?
