Maureen Dowd Doesn’t Make Any Sense
Objectively spoken, this is one of the most horrible columns I’ve read in months. There’s no structure, no common theme it seems, and no arguments. If you wonder what the thesis of the column is, I’m wondering with you. When you start reading it seems to be about Obama’s world tour, but then suddenly changes into ‘who was right about Iraq years ago,’ and then a sudden conclusion - coming out of nowhere - is offered, which is not strongly argued either.
And no, I’m not just saying that because I disagree with Dowd; it’s truly a weak column. A 12-year old could write a better, structured, logical, one.

You know a pretty talented group of twelve-year-olds. The theme is that Obama has been appointed as "The One". The column uses a variety of religious and secular allusions to reinforce that motif including paraphrasing Yeats.
Maybe not her best column, but far from pointless. Call me when your twelve-year-olds have won a Pulitzer.

Damn, that woman’s projecting past my AFDB again! ;-D
yeah there’s something of significance. Now her’s was not for Editorial Cartoon. Pulitzer states it is for.
yeah - call me when journalism returns to being journalism, and given who the board is for it - I don’t expect a call anytime soon.
