‘Israel’s Enemies Are Celebrating’

July 18th, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

How this can surprise anyone, is beyond comprehension. Of course Israel’s enemies are celebrating; the Israelis released many terrorists, and in return got the bodies back of Israeli soldiers who had been killed by other terrorists. That’s not a victory for Hezbollah, Iran, Hamas, etc., and a major defeat for the Jewish nation-state.

What this teaches extremists in the Middle East is that terrorism against Israel works. You can kidnap Israelis, kill them, and not only get away with it but be rewarded for it. If an extremist commits a terrorist attack against Israel but is caught, just let another extremist kidnap one or two Israelis, torture and then kill them, and the first extremist (the prisoner) will be released from prison if the body is returned.

It’s a smart way to kill Israelis if you want to.

I, too, fail to see any reason to do this transaction. I mean, if you are going to do it, it should be win-win and should involve living people. But I don’t know so much about this event, nor do I know much about the entire region. Most of the people who talk about what should be done there are either missing some part of the extremely comple picture or are LGF-style A-grade morons.

Disagree completely. Israel itself was founded on terrorism and regularly conducts state terrorism against the helpless Palestinian people.

I mean really ask yourself, is everyone fighting Israel a terrorist? Does Israel regularly threatens and invades its neighbors at will? Is it not threatening Iran with a OFFENSIVE MILITARY STRIKE (not theoretical, disputed "wipe off the map" jingo AP and other Israeli-bias Western media parrots?) Is its influential lobby AIPAC not lobbying Congress to passing resultions condemning Ahmedinejad, anti-Iranian sanctions, and naval blockage that will potentially lead to war? (Go to http://www.aipac.org ) and read the "campaigns" for yourself.

Was or was not Hezbollah a by product of Ariel Sharon’s invasion of Lebanon in 1982 where 2,000 innocent Lebanese and Palestinian refugees died? Does not their 2,000 precious lives count or does only Jewish lives matter?

Israel is a racist state and the fact they would do this exchange shows clearly to every thinking person that they value a Jewish life more worthy than a non-Jew. So tell me, why shouldn’t Israel’s enemy continue their fight against an apartheid state until they acheive their self-determination and freedom from Israeli state repression?

If someone conducts suicide bombings into the State of Israel - yes they are terrorists.

Does Israel regularly threatens and invades its neighbors at will?

What country has Israel regularly threatened and invaded?  There is no State of Palestine.

Is it not threatening Iran with a OFFENSIVE MILITARY STRIKE (not theoretical, disputed "wipe off the map" jingo AP and other Israeli-bias Western media parrots?)

You can easily say Israel is justified for matching speech with Iran who’s threatened more than once to wipe Israel from the map.  Actually Israel would have to kick up the talk a few notches to match what it’s neighbors have said.

and read the "campaigns" for yourself.

    Good advice for yourself.

Israel is a racist state and the fact they would do this exchange shows clearly to every thinking person that they value a Jewish life more worthy than a non-Jew.

Wow, a history lesson would be good for you - okay, newsflash.  Israel is a Jewish nation.

"If someone conducts suicide bombings into the State of Israel - yes they are terrorists."

Actually, if they only attack military targets you could say it is very strange warfare.

"There is no State of Palestine."

The concept of humans has priority over the concept of a state. Israel is mistreating humans, or in your case refugees, in many ways without accoutability. This flattens their moral high ground more and more.

-If- - are they?  no unless you consider market places full of citizens military targets.

So you have nothing to counter with ?

Notice the "if". It’s a small word but it has feelings too you know.

"So you have nothing to counter with ?"

I said "your case". I assumed for the sake of argument that your idea that there is no Palestine isn’t absolute bally.

In "your" "case", then, Israel would be mistreating refugees in many ways and they don’t get to do that. What do I care whether people are called Palestinians or refugees? The people there have rights anyway. Israel needs to change its ways Re: these people - their armed forces etc. don’t have justification for some of the things they are doing.

    "wrong"

Well, we’ll agree to disagree then. As I see it Iranians would do well to not allow their leaders to give Israel an excuse to collectively punish all Iranians.

You really read my comments the way Satan would read the bible if he wasn’t fictional.

    Find it on the map.

Which would include removing it’s threatening stance towards Israel.

Write them different if you do not like the way they are read.

    "Find it on the map."

You got me! There is no official Palestine! Guess what though, that doesn’t make me change my position on anything. Parts of Israel on the map are supposed to be something else.

"Which would include removing it’s threatening stance towards Israel."

    Which is what I want as well. Don’t want a Lebanon-style fudge-up.

"Write them different if you do not like the way they are read."

There is only one way to read them, and you have a history of reading them wrong. I mean it.

I am surprised at the argument that there is no state of Palestine.  Frankly, I don;t give a d-mn dear!  There are millions of people who call themselves Palestinian and call parts of Israel their home.  And it was their home when I was a child.

Since the Israeli invasion of Palestinian land (was it 1967?) three generations of rock throvers have lived in this area.  Israel has left no other avenue but terrorism open to the Palestinians.  I can’t imagine Palestinian young men having a prom upon graduating from college?  Could you study Darwin if you had no future or human value?

This is genocide - government organized eradication of one nation and their culture.

So you stand - for nothing.

Again, if you do not like the way your writing is read - change the way you write it, that’s your problem not mine.
