No Game Changer for Clinton

May 7th, 2008 By: Claudia, Assistant Editor | Tags: , , , , ,

After two weeks in which Clinton took a tiny lead in Indiana and a huge lag in North Carolina in the polls and turned it into a commanding lead in Indiana and striking distance in North Carolina….

Clinton won Indiana by the tiny lead and lost North Carolina by the huge margin.

Results:

Indiana: Clinton +2

North Carolina: Obama +14

Obama widens his delegate lead and is now again in the popular vote lead even using extra-special Clintonian math.

My predictions? HRC is toast. Is BHO going to be our next president? Maybe. McCain looks better and better though, as this Democratic nomination mud wrestling match slogs on.

Reports are that Tim Russert says HRC has canceled her appearances for tomorrow.  Possibly a sign that reality has set in.  The numbers of delegates for Clinton just aren’t there unless she engages in some pretty serious arm twisting and rule-changing, like counting the Florida and Michigan delegates.  That would be sure to cause serious damage in the party.  Possibly Democratic party leaders are having ‘the talk’ with the Clintons and making the case that it is time to suspend her campaign now, on as positive a note as possible, to protect party unity for the general election.

Hillary needs to drop out NOW!  I used to be a fan of hers but now I can’t stand her.  I’m in an email group and we all feel that Hillary has crossed the line and is only interested in herself and achieving her goals and is willing to destroy the Democratic Party to reach her goals!  DROP OUT NOW, HILLARY, it’s the right thing to do!
