Pelosi Doesn’t Know The Bible Very Well
Note to Nancy Pelosi; if you’re going to quote the Bible, be sure that what you’re saying is an actual quote. Don’t let staffers make ‘quotes’ up, pick up a copy of the Bible, start reading it, and if you feel inspired by a particular passage, use it.
And when you are clearly using religion for political purposes you should be 100% sure that you’ve got your facts straight. Otherwise, you’re just making a fake-religious ass out of yourself.
Now, some have asked experts, others have searched the Bible themselves, again others have tried to find the ‘quote’ on the Internet (as have I, just to double check), and again others are experts themselves, but I’ve got to say that when I read this so-called ‘quote’ I was immediately sure that she just made it up. I’ve read the Bible, in its entirety, a couple of times, and believe me; I would have noticed this one.
Reminds me a bit of the so-called ‘quote’: “God helps them who help themselves.” It’s not in the Bible, but I’ve heard people say they think it is.
Obviously Pelosi confused something she heard in church with something she read int eh Bible.
Don’t worry. She’ll go to hell for it.
She lives in SF and DC. She’s in hell already.
If beautiful SF is hell, I can’t wait to join her.
Those opposed to a mild climate, good food, beautiful scenery and friendly people are apparently heading for less appealing environs.

I guess they are friendly if you don’t dare be a military veteran or a conservative. Then again, I know they are “tolerant” of “diversity” because they keep saying so. I’m sure their actions will catch up with their rhetoric by, oh, 2050 or so.
The redwoods were fantastic though. Too bad the aging hippies keep spoiling every experience with some new bizarre PC claptrap.

Just Sodom. Gomorrah is in SoCal, just past some oddly shaped pillars of salt in Simi Valley.
You must have been in different bits than I Jason. In SF people are people, like they are everywhere. Though I won’t deny there is an anti-military and especially an anti-conservative atmosphere, most people will treat others as individuals, not as figureheads for their political views. One of the most prominent members of my über-liberal neighborhood, Noe Valley, is an old-style conservative, with pictures of himself with Reagan in his storefront (along with loads of GOP memorabilia), and he was, when I left years ago, hands down one of the most loved and respected people in the community, and probably still is if he hasn’t retired yet.

What you said about SF is true about most of CA ( in general terms and with the customary exceptions).
People still say ‘good morning’ to strangers on the street. No one jumps to checking out your political affiliation without getting to know you first.
People can know each other for a long time, just discussing the weather, family friends, dinner wines, books, movies,whatever.
It’s generally more politically and otherwise relaxed.
It might be difficult for those uncomfortable with the suspicion that the neighbors might not be in agreement with every political obsession of theirs, however.
Too bad.
There’s a litttle bit of beach just south of SF that is hard to spot from the road and requires a pretty steep climb down to it, thus guaranteeing a good amount of privacy.
I’d love to go there again, whether it be hell or heaven.
