Smearing John McCain
For reasons known only to himself, Robert Farley compares an ad by John McCain to the Nazi propaganda film Triumph des Willens and wonders aloud if McCain is a liberal fascist.
His reasoning: Both McCain’s ad and Triumph have cloud imagery in them.
Why, that’s genius!
I’m so jealous - I wish could make that sort of leap myself, unbound by reason or logic.
But I’m a mere plodder to whom it seems obvious that McCain’s service as a Navy flier explains a big part of the flight sequence.

Marc: what’s even more hilarious is that these people don’t seem to realize that just about all ads, political films, rhetoric, etc. in the West is ‘inspired’ by the Germans. They were masters of propaganda and you can bet your butt on it that other Westerners have studied Nazi propaganda and learned from it… and are now using it to their own advantage.
That’s not exactly a secret. Everyone with half an education knows that.
Pathetic little smear indeed, well said.
Michael: its also funny from the perspective that comments like these often pass as profound art criticism in academic circles. you’ll see some people argue representational art is always linked to fascism, because fascists supported it
LOL. So did Sophism.
WOW! Clouds!!! He’s obviously a Nazi…can’t believe I missed the clear signs of this, and was planning to vote for him until this was pointed out.
LOL…in actuality, I think it’s a terrific ad and I’m guessing that some of McCain’s opponents realize that too and are a bit worried about it.
If McCain’s campaign overdoes the POW angle, it’ll backfire on him, but the bit of footage of him with the voiceover of Churchill "Ne-vah give up, ne-vah give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense " is brilliant.
