Polls
Here’s a round-up of some (important) polls, all from Rasmussen Reports.
1. Barack Obama is leading Hillary Clinton in Texas. 48% against 44%. If this is the result on election day as well, Clinton is out.
2. Clinton is leading in Pennsylvania. 46% against 42%. Pennsylvania has a lot of delegates.
3. John McCain leads very comfortably in Texas. 54% of Republicans say they’ll vote for McCain, against 34% who’ll vote for Mike Huckabee, and only 7% who say they support Ron Paul.
4. John McCain is more trusted than Obama when it comes to national security, Iraq and the economy. In short: Obama shouldn’t talk about the first two issues too much, for it’s likely that McCain will destroy him on it, especially if the surge continues to pay off. The economy is a more difficult subject of course, also because it’s so incredibly important to many voters. Obama can’t not talk about it. Besides, perhaps - on this issue - it’s more a matter of perception right now than anything else, meaning that Obama should be able to make a comeback.
Take all the polls with a grain of salt.
