Romney: The Democrats Win = The Terrorists Win

After months of intra-party sniping, I had forgotten what the taste of good old fashioned partisan slime tasted like.

I exaggerate you say? Romney never said any such thing? Well, look for youself:

Ahh yes, it’s not that Clinton and Obama have different ideas on how to best fight terrorism no, it’s that they wish to surrender in the face of terrorism.

The full speech has more fun tidbits of course. The pressing need to protect marriage from those nasty gays that have so clearly ruined his state of Massachusetts since they were able to marry, the evils of “promiscuity and pornography” and the downright bizarre affirmation that the US could “become the France of the 21st century” (when did France stop existing BTW?). This is of course all red meat for the social conservatives who aren’t on board with McCain. This doesn’t make it any more reasonable, but it’s clear who the intended audience is.

I never really liked Romney, for much the same reason I don’t like Clinton, he seems utterly unauthentic, insincere. However I felt a bit of sympathy because I found the bigotry he encountered due to his religion despicable. In my view the Republicans have been forced into a compromise choice in the person of McCain, but at least when I hear him talk, though I don’t agree with many of his positions, I can believe those are his positions. However this speech gave me a new perspective on Romney, I’m now very glad he’s out of the campaign.

Miitens is just showing his future street cred to David Keane(ACU) and Grover Norquist(ATR). Why he may even go out and shoot some varmits with Buddy Ebsen, like that immoral thespian Jane Hathway.
