Britney Spears Hospitalized

January 5th, 2008 By: Michael van der Galien | Tags:

A few weeks after news broke that Britney Spears’ younger sister, Jamie Leigh Spears, is pregnant, the oldest of the two has been hospitalized.

Yesterday, her ex-husband Kevin Federline went to Britney’s house to get their children. 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James has visited their mother but had to go again. Britney refused to give the children back, and was - in the end - hospitalized.

Previously, Federline had been “awarded temporary custody of the boys because the 26-year-old pop singer has defied court orders, resulting in limitations on her visitation.”

After yesterday’s stand-off, a court commissioner gave Federline sole physical and legal custody of both Sean Preston and Jayden James and he suspended Britney’s visitation rights.

Spears was hospitalized yesterday to protect society against her and, first and foremost, her against herself. Dutch media add that she has been given the code 5150 and that she was under the influence of one drug or another yesterday. ABC News states that this isn’t sure, however.

This is truly a disaster waiting to happen. In fact, of course, the disaster has already happened. Many people hoped for Britney that she would pick herself up after the court ruling last year, but she seemingly can’t get over it and can’t truly change her life-style.

What’s glaringly obvious is that the judge made the right decision and that Britney’s indeed incapable of taking care of herself, let alone her children at this point in time.

For fear of turning into some pop-psychologist or moralist I resort to repeating my initial reaction.

    *facepalm*

best news I’ve heard in years - this is the only chance her kids have of growing up normally…hopefully, her "baby" sister isn’t equally un-fit for parenthood - THANK YOU JUDGE!
