Those states just took away some benefits, and told employers they would be penalized for breaking the law and hiring illegals.  Illegals are packing their bags. If we really had immigration law enforcement, employers fined and /or jailed for employing illegals,  landlords forbidden to rent to illegals, all benefits except life and death medical care taken away (and that includes schools), all police deputized to arrest and deport illegals, no University access,  and jailing illegals for their crimes (entry, ID theft, tax evasion etc) they would all be gone in no time. The only exception would be violent criminals and it would be harder for them to hide within the Hispanic sub group. Besides, President Eisenhower, with 700 men, in 4 months rounded up 1.5 million Mexicans and deported them. We can deport 20 million easily. What we cannot do is be racist and give places in the USA to illegals, primarily Hispanic in preference in timing or numbers to legal immigrants from all other races. All Americans have an equal right per our constitution to bring in their family and race. The HIspanics are trying to push all others aside. Racist to the max. What we also cannot do is give any sort of amnesty to the illegals. The economists have made it clear, the cost of doing so would semd the USA into a major financial crisis. Those that support the illegals never talk about the cost, or want to assume it. They have their heads in the sand.
