Who Cares - They’re Both Black
Fox News Channel apologized on-air Tuesday for running tape of a different congressman while reporting Monday on the indictment of Rep. William J. Jefferson on bribery charges.
The network ran footage of House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers of Michigan instead of Jefferson. Both congressmen are black.
Fox blamed the mistake on a 22-year-old production assistant hurriedly grabbing a wrong videotape. Fox’s Washington bureau chief, Brian Wilson, said he was mortified by the error.
Who. Cares. They’re both black. Blacks all look the same to me. I bet that 90% of the viewers didn’t even notice. The other 10% of viewers were… black.
No, seriously: This is, as far as I can tell, not the first time that something like this happens at Fox. I suggest they look into that. Not only is it quite insulting to the victim, in this case Conyers, but it also look very unprofessional.

Then you have Bill’o who objects to immigration because it will result in a loss of white supremacy
All with no accountability
Is it any wonder that Democrats and minorities avoid Fox???
Sadly actually some scientific evidence to back up the idea that White people have a hard time distinguishing between black faces.

Oh, and just so I’m not guilty of white man’s guilt bias; subsequent studies have shown a similar effect for any racial group seeing differences in any other racial group. There’s debate about how much this has to do with how much experience you have with faces of that other race you see in your life, or if it is some sort of ‘how is this face different from me’ process.
I think they should deny that it happened and then proceed to cover it up. They need to spread disinformation and claim that cnn or msnbc actually broke into their broadcast and replaced the signal with a misleading signal.
They could claim Al-Qa’ida had framed them for the fall so that they looked bad.
Run a story on how the tape machine is actually made by George Soros company and backed by Michael Moore. Blame hanging chads.
Anything but the truth. After all we all know that Fox news does not tell the truth about anything.
Oh and by the way. I have talked to so many people that tell me they hear about how bad Fox is by the left that they have to go check it out. Most of them come away telling me that they actually think Fox is a better station then the rest.
So Im sure Rupert Murdock loves the Liberal/lefts bashing of his network.

I think Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer should be investigated for this serious breach in which they knew this man was doing Illegal things and was under investigation and they covered it up.
I want to know what they knew. I believe they are hiding this and this is totally no different then What the Republicans were blamed for with Foley.
I think Pelosi should step down for her duplicity in continuing to support a man who is facing 235 years in prision. Hell even Foley is only facing a few months.
Compared to Foley this is an outrage.

So that means that Hastert and Boehner should step down as well. After all they knew what Tom DeLay and Bob Ney were up to and let them serve even after they were indicted-no pressure there! The GOP even tried to change the rules for DeLay so that he could keep his post as Majority Leader while indicted!
BTW, there are at least half a dozen Republican legislators under investigation by the FBI for the Duke Cunningham, Abramoff and other scandals, yet they mysteriously remain untouched. Jerry Lewis, is the 4th most powerful rep in the House and is the ranking member on the House Appropriations Committee.
I dont care if They all step down. In fact in light of the Immigration bill, I would be completely happy if every single member of congress did in fact resign tonight.
However in this case I do not care what hastert, Delay or anyone else knew. Im talking about Pelosi and steny Hoyer. I dont care if Hastert and Boehner knew that we didnt really land on the moon. Im talking about Pelosi.

Old codger- Starting to surface about Democrats? Jefferson has been under investigation by the FBI for two years, but they took their time indicting him- probably because the DOJ is pretty dysfunctional at the moment, because it is under Gonzales.
He had been stripped of his committee seats by Pelosi, and he’s relatively powerless. Legally being under investigation is not grounds for expulsion from the House, or quite a few R’s would have been packing their bags a long time ago. And Pelosi and Hoyer did nothing that Boehner and Hastert hadn’t done before them.
I actually think that its a good idea to have the Ethics Committee make recommendations of expulsion when a member’s been indicted. I don’t want corrupt congressmen of either party to run Congress. I’m sure its just a matter of time before they indict Lewis, Doolittle, Renzi and the rest of the corrupt Republicans. That is if US Atty’s are still allowed to indict Republicans, they might get fired for doing so!
And Pelosi and Hoyer did nothing that Boehner and Hastert hadn’t done before them.

No thanks- been there done that. They were even worse. Boehner couldn’t wait to have the ethics committee look into recommending expulsion of Jefferson. Yet the same ethics committee overlooked the multiple violations of Tom DeLay and Bob Ney- allowing them to stay in their seats and draw a paycheck while under indictment. Ney stayed after he had pled guilty. That’s why their party was kicked out in the first place, remember??? Foley was just the icing on the cake. The ethics committee met for a month and came to the conclusion that no one needed to be reprimanded for anything. Really??
