    Here’s an interesting news item (from NPR):

    Many states want to move up their primaries because they say they are more representative than Iowa or New Hampshire. So, the Associated Press decided to do a survey.

    They ranked states on how closely they matched the US median on racial composition, urban/rural balance, family income, education levels, etc.,…

    The state most representative of America is Illinois, with Oregon close behind. The state least representative is West Virginia.
